Principal’s Welcome

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the American School of Wrocław! At ASW, our mission is to inspire, challenge and nurture the student – intellectually, socially, emotionally, and ethically. We believe that education is a shared journey between students, teachers, and families, built on curiosity, courage, and mutual respect. Each day, we strive to create a learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our school embraces a rich blend of educational programs. We hold an official accreditation by the American Education Reaches Out: Common Core Plus (PreK–12, developed by the AERO Project and the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Overseas Schools), integrate the best elements of the Polish National Curriculum, and prepare our students through the IB Middle Years and IB Diploma Programmes. This combination empowers learners to think critically, act creatively, and engage with the world as confident, compassionate global citizens.

Just as importantly, we want ASW to be a community where everyone feels they belong – a place where questions are celebrated as much as answers, where mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn, and where success inspires us to keep growing. Together, our teachers, staff, and families build a strong culture of collaboration and care.

We encourage our students to be bold in their learning, to ask questions, and to embrace challenges with confidence. We value the partnership and perspectives of our families, whose active engagement helps shape the vibrant life of our school. Through shared experiences and open dialogue, we continue to learn from one another and grow as a community.
